A long-time St. Helena resident, Joel Toller has the necessary insider's understanding of the local area and its residents to help you buy or sell at the right time, for the right price.
An experienced agent with hundreds of transactions to his credit, he is well-versed in all aspects of the complexities of real estate -- from property valuations -- to finding the best loan -- to getting the necessary permits for improvements. His knowledge, problem-solving abilities, and patience will help to ensure your real estate transaction is successful.
Since becoming a realtor in 2000, Joel has quickly become one of the valley’s top-producing agents. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Agricultural Business from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo and speaks Spanish fluently.
Joel grew up in St. Helena where his father was the Mayor, served on the School Board and the City Council, and currently practices law. Following his father's example of community service, Joel has served as a Chairman of the annual St. Helena Rotary Ball, is a member of the St. Helena Public Schools Foundation Board, and chairs the fundraising committee of the Board’s Endowment Trust. He has been an English-Spanish operating room translator for Rotoplast in Guatemala and a Peace Corps volunteer in Panama where he taught sustainable agriculture practices. Most recently, he was a youth leader with 20 teens from Grace Episcopal Church volunteering on a Navajo Reservation in New Mexico.

Erin Bright (Wilson) Russell was born in southeastern Napa County, on a working ranch where her family continues to grow wine grapes for highly-regarded Napa Valley wine brands. Erin studied art and design from an early age in San Francisco, Los Angeles, and London. With a long family history in real estate, Erin brings her expansive network and experience to support her clients in buying and selling in this region she knows so well.
In 2017, Erin joined forces with the Joel Toller Team forming a successful partnership to represent buyers and sellers in the Napa/Sonoma Wine Country market. Erin was recently honored to be awarded the Coldwell Banker International President's Elite sales distinction, as a top producer in the company.
When Erin is not in the office, you will find her riding horses, hiking, working in her garden, and cooking delicious meals for friends and family.

Both Joel and Erin are native to Napa Valley and are engaged members of the community. Joel has volunteered for years with the St. Helena Rotary, and Erin serves on the Board of Directors for the Napa Valley Grapegrowers. Both place great importance on the work that these and other organizations do to increase the quality of life for Napa’s citizens. Joel said, “I feel fortunate to have been raised in this beautiful valley and enjoy working with people who value the place and the community as much as I do.” The team also participates in the Coldwell Banker Brokers of the Valley local business reinvestment program, supporting a locally-owned business at every close of escrow for the first quarter of 2021.
When asked about how their business has been affected by the events of the past year, Erin said, “The past year’s events surrounding the pandemic created an even higher demand for wine country property, and market activity has been strong.” Unfortunately, both Joel and Erin were directly impacted by the LNU and Glass Fires, as were many of their clients, families, and friends. Joel said, “Our deepest gratitude goes to the first responders who put their lives on the line to defend our properties. The resiliency and strength of our community have really shone through.” Even with the challenges 2020 presented, the Joel Toller Team completed multiple notable sales in Napa and Sonoma. Joel said, “It was a record year for our team. We were glad to be involved in a number of the highest tier transactions in Napa and Sonoma Counties.”
Erin reflected, “One of the most touching elements to me during that challenging time was the outpouring of support for our region. People all over the world love this special place, and being from here, we appreciate that. It’s why we enjoy doing what we do.”
